About Us
Archdiocese of St. Louis Mission
As Catholics in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, in communion with the Bishop of Rome, we are called by our Lord, Jesus Christ, to be His Church and live His Gospel. With joy, we strive to fulfill our Baptismal calling by prayer and worship, teaching and sharing our faith, serving others, and fostering unity in diversity. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to the responsible stewardship of all God's gifts.
Racial Harmony Mission
The mission of the ORHBM is to foster racial justice across the Archdiocese of St. Louis by facilitating opportunities for education, advocacy, prayer, and dialogue. We aim to serve all members of the archdiocese by promoting awareness of the sin of racism and helping to dismantle its enduring impact. Our work is centered on building relationships across racial lines and embodying Christ’s call that ‘they may all be one,’ with emphasis on the Black Catholic experience, past and present, to help ensure a more inclusive future in our universal Church.
"The end goal is to build a relationship across racial
boundaries so that we can learn to live together, that we can become allies of each other because ultimately it's all about staying focused on God"
- Joyce Jones
