From Hunger to Hope:

On behalf of Archbishop Rozanski,  the Catholic Relief Services Local Advisory Board, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, Catholic Charities of St Louis and our community partners, Operation Food Search, the St Louis Area Food Bank and the Community Impact Network we would like to invite you to a Food Security Summit focused on addressing the root causes of hunger and exploring how we can continue to provide sustainable, dignified access to food for all in our region.

This is an interfaith event. All are welcome as all faiths believe everyone has a fundamental right to adequate food.  We are inviting all clergy, ministry leaders,  volunteers, and anyone with a heart for the poor and vulnerable. Missouri needs us all as 12.7% of our households are experiencing food insecurity, 1 in 6 children lack consistent access to nutritious food and given the recent cuts to federal programs, it is anticipated the situation will only get worse.

During the summit you will hear from inspirational speakers, learn about best practices from a variety of food pantry leaders, and explore successful models for community gardens and advocacy campaigns. You will also have the chance to network with others who are passionate about building a more just and food-secure future.

Summit Details:

When: October 9^th, 2025, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Doors open at 8:30am. Programming begins at 9:00am and ends at 11:30am. Lunch and a resource fair will be held from 11:30am-1:00pm
