Every year the St. Charles Lwanga Center has a testimonial dinner and celebration to honor several people in the area for their contributions in the Black Catholic community.

In November 2025, we had the distinct privilege of welcoming Fr. Boxie as our esteemed Keynote Speaker at our National Black Catholic History Month event, a gathering that holds significant importance within our community. This annual event celebrates the rich heritage and contributions of Black Catholics throughout history.

Members of the Archdiocese of St. Louis Office of Racial Harmony and Black Catholic Ministries joined the Diocesan Phase Closing Ceremony for Cause of Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman in Jackson, Mississippi in February of 2026.
